*The Connecticut Sun Foundation Bright Horizons Scholarship: this is a $10,000 scholarship ($2,500 annually) to any deserving Connecticut high school senior who will attend an accredited four-year college or university in Connecticut; candidates must demonstrate the following: financial need, have a minimum SAT of 1,010 ( 2 tests) or 21 ACT, have a weighted GPA of 3.0, provide information detailing extracurricular activities and honors, letter of recommendation referencing academic and community status, write a 500 word essay describing your "Commitment to the Community;" to download the application you must log onto www.connecticutsun.com and click on "Connecticut Sun Foundation." Deadline to apply is postmarked May 31.

*The Richard T. Kanca Scholarship: $250 scholarship to a graduating senior; submit an essay that explains how you personify the following characteristics: Ambition, Confidence, Organization, Knowledge. Applications availabe in the Magnet office or Career Center. The deadline to apply is June 1.

* The Borck Family Foundation Golf Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship per semester for two years (total $4,000). All candidates must demonstrate the following: academic responsibility, an interest in golf, excellent citizenship. An interest in golf means a student who plays the game, has participated in The Borck Junior Golf Tournament, has caddied, or in any other way has displayed some involvement with golf. Applications available in the Magnet office or Career Center. The deadline to apply is July 14.
